Is There a Candy Shorts App? Home Screen Install, Login and APK Risks

Updated by the AI Candy Shorts editors

Candy.ai offers no store download for the Shorts. Its own Get App prompt adds the website to your home screen: on an iPhone you use Share, then Add to Home Screen, and on Android you open the browser menu and choose the same option. The episodes also play in any browser on phones, tablets and computers, behind one Candy.ai login. An APK file is not part of that route.

Is there a Candy Shorts app?

Habit says to open an app store, type the name and tap Get. For this platform the road is different. Candy.ai's own answer is a prompt called Get App, shown on its subscription page, and what it hands you is instructions rather than a file: add the website to your home screen from the browser, on an iPhone or on an Android phone. The result is a shortcut to candy.ai, Shorts included. It is not an installer, and the prompt points to the browser, not to a store.

The prompt also says what the shortcut is for. It sells the home screen icon on three kinds of notification: news about features, sales and discounts, and chat messages. Little in it is specific to video: the Shorts are one tab in the site's menu, next to Chat, Discover, Collection and the rest, so the icon opens the whole platform and the Shorts are a tap away.

Add to Home Screen is a function of your phone's browser, not of Candy.ai. It pins a link with an icon, so the platform stays a website: no installer to run, no store account to sign into, no file to trust. If you were hoping for a download button, our guide to watching full episodes covers what the series pages do offer.

How do you add Candy Shorts to your home screen?

The steps are short on both systems. On an iPhone:

  1. Open candy.ai in the browser on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the Share button.
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen.

On an Android phone:

  1. Open candy.ai in your Android browser.
  2. Open the browser's menu.
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen.

The Get App prompt on candy.ai spells out these same two taps for each system. Once the icon sits on your home screen, tapping it opens candy.ai, and the Shorts are in the menu. The video is vertical, made for a phone held upright, and the pop-out window mode is off, so an episode will not hover over your other apps. The shortcut is optional. If you only want to watch, the same episodes play in any browser, and the walk from the first episode to the last is in our full episodes guide.

How do you sign up and log in to Candy Shorts?

The site uses three labels for this: Login, Join Free and Create Free Account. Join Free and Create Free Account start a new account, and Login is for one you already have. A Spicy series card shows a Sign up to view button instead, and it opens the same registration.

What the form asks comes from the Privacy Notice, revised July 30, 2026. An email address and a password are the mandatory registration fields. The Terms describe an account created with an email and password or another available login method, and the Privacy Notice names Google single sign-on and gives Twitter, Google, Discord and email as examples of sign-up providers. Which buttons you see on the screen is the platform's choice.

Age comes up twice. You pass an age gate at the entrance, where you state that you are over 18, and the Terms add that the platform may ask for more information to verify that you are an adult. Depending on where you live, the Privacy Notice lists the result of a third-party age estimation or identity check among the data kept for account creation.

The account is personal. The Terms ask you to use your own login credentials and your own payment method, make the account non-transferable, bar you from selling, lending or sharing it, and put you in charge of what happens under your login. A borrowed password is a Terms problem before it is a security problem.

One Candy.ai login covers the whole platform. The Shorts sit in the same menu as Chat, so there is no separate sign-in for them, and the Help Center adds that viewing episodes does not affect the history of your chats. That makes the account a convenient hub and a small commitment: you can create it just to open episode 2, at no charge.

What does each kind of access get you?

Think of the platform as three doors, each opening a little further.

AccessWhat it opensWhat it costs
No accountEpisode 1 of each open series0 tokens
Free accountEpisode 2, plus up to 5 messages to AI characters0 tokens
PremiumPaid episodes through tokens, the Spicy series, unlimited messages100 tokens a month included

The tokens and the Spicy series are the two places where the rules change. Paid episodes in the open series cost 12 or 30 tokens, and the monthly allowance that comes with Premium is 100. Spicy series sit behind Premium from episode 1, so a free account gets you past the sign-up wall but not into the episodes; the Spicy guide lists all 13. Plan prices live in the price guide, together with the arithmetic for finishing a series, while what a sign-up unlocks beyond episode 2 is spelled out in the free episodes guide.

Does it work on tablets and computers?

It does, through the browser, with no shortcut required. The Get App prompt describes iPhone and Android phones. A tablet, a laptop or a desktop opens candy.ai/candy-shorts like any website, and you can log in there with the same account.

Expect the picture to stay vertical. On a computer the player sits in a portrait frame, because the video is vertical, and right-clicking and pop-out playback are switched off. That fits the series pages as they stood on September 24, 2026, when none carried a download button. If you want a big screen and a narrow strip of video does not bother you, a computer works fine. If you want the picture to fill the screen, a phone held upright is the better fit.

Are APK files a safe shortcut?

No, and the reason is easy to state: the platform's own route has no file in it. Candy.ai's instructions ask you to pin the site through your browser, so an APK sold as the Candy Shorts app, as a mod, or as an unlocked or premium build did not come from those instructions.

Three things make such files riskier than they look. Android files installed from outside a store skip the checks a store applies. An app that asks you to log in can read what you type, so a stranger's app can read your password. And a modified client is a rules problem too: the Terms bar you from modifying or reverse-engineering the Services, the Community Guidelines revised March 6, 2026 list accessing accounts by anything other than publicly supported interfaces among the prohibited acts, and the penalties run up to closing the account. The Terms also leave the safety of third-party downloads with you.

How these files are packaged and sold, from fake players to chat-channel "packs", is covered in our leaks guide, and the question of unlocked builds has its own answer in the uncensored guide. The short version fits on a sticky note: install no file, and type your password only on candy.ai.

Still curious?

Does the app version cost extra?

No separate price is listed for it. The Get App prompt sits on the plans page and describes a shortcut, and Premium includes the same things whether you open the site from an icon or from a browser tab.

Can you watch while logged out?

Yes, for episode 1. On October 8, 2026, each of the 131 open series let guests watch its first episode, while the second one wanted a free sign-up.

Is there an app download in the app stores?

Candy.ai's Get App prompt points to the browser, not to a store, and it involves no file. Treat a store listing or a download page that claims to be the platform's app as something to verify on candy.ai first.

Is the login shared with the chat side?

Yes. The Shorts sit in the same menu as Chat under one Login button, and watching a Short leaves your chat history untouched.

Can I sign up with a Google account?

The Privacy Notice mentions Google single sign-on and gives Twitter, Google, Discord and email as examples of sign-up providers. Which options appear on the sign-up screen is up to the platform.

Will it work on an iPad or an Android tablet?

The Get App prompt names iPhone and Android. A tablet opens candy.ai in its browser like any website, and the same account logs in there.

Is the home screen shortcut safe to add?

It uses your own browser's Add to Home Screen function, so no third-party installer is involved. The risk starts with files from other sources.
