How is the price of Candy AI Shorts built?
Two episodes in, the story has you, and episode 3 arrives with a number attached. The number is in tokens, not dollars, which is why the cost of a series takes a little arithmetic. Candy AI Shorts pricing works in two currencies: dollars for a Premium plan and tokens for the episodes, with a token price on each paid one. The bill has three layers. The first is free: episode 1 for any visitor and episode 2 for an account, covered in the free episodes guide. The second is the token price of each episode after those. The third is the plan, the dollar part, which includes 100 tokens a month. Learn the three and any series shrinks to a short sum.
A note on dates keeps the sums honest. We read the plan prices on candy.ai's subscription page and the token costs on the series pages on October 8, 2026. The Terms of Service say prices can rise, with notice before a renewal, so the plan page has the last word on the dollar figures.
What do the Premium plans cost?
Candy.ai's subscription page showed three Premium plan cards when we read it on October 8, 2026. These are the US dollar figures on the cards.
| Plan | Price shown | Billed | Label on the card |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12 months | $3.99 a month | $47.88, once a year | 70% OFF and BEST VALUE |
| 3 months | $8.99 a month | $26.97, once a quarter | 35% OFF |
| 1 month | $9.99 the first month, then $13.99 | $9.99, then $13.99 each month | 29% OFF on the first month |
Two details are worth reading closely. The 12-month and 3-month cards show their monthly price beside a struck-through $13.99, next to the 70% OFF and 35% OFF labels, while the monthly card discounts only its first month. And each plan renews automatically until you cancel: the longer plans at the same price and term, the monthly one at $13.99 after the first month, with local taxes possible on top. In dollars, a year of monthly payments comes to $163.88, so the 12-month plan costs $116.00 less over the year. Three monthly payments come to $37.97, so the 3-month plan costs $11.00 less per quarter.
What the money buys, as the plan page lists it: 100 tokens a month, unlimited text messages, tools for creating your own AI characters, and image and video generation. The tokens are shared. The Terms say they also pay for features such as image generation and voice notes, so tokens spent there are tokens not spent on episodes.
How many tokens does one episode use?
Each paid episode carries a fixed token price set by the shelf its series sits on, not by how late the episode comes: all paid episodes within a series cost the same. This is the October 8, 2026 reading.
| Where the series sits | Episodes at 0 tokens | Each paid episode |
|---|---|---|
| Candy characters and Other characters, open series (121) | 1 and 2 | 12 tokens |
| Candy Creators, open series (10) | 1 and 2 | 30 tokens |
| Spicy series on the Candy characters and Other characters shelves (8) | 1 and 2, with Premium | 30 tokens |
| Spicy series on the Candy Creators shelf (5) | 1 and 2, with Premium | 50 tokens |
Open creator series charge two and a half times the standard rate, and the Spicy creator series charge more than four times it. Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right adds a third episode at 0 tokens. Spicy series need Premium before anything plays, so for them the plan is an entry ticket on top of the tokens. None of the open series carried a reduced token price on October 8, 2026. The monthly allowance divides into episodes like this:
| Episode price | Episodes per 100 tokens | Tokens left over |
|---|---|---|
| 12 tokens | 8 | 4 |
| 30 tokens | 3 | 10 |
| 50 tokens | 2 | 0 |
What does it cost to finish one series?
The sum is short: the episodes in the series, minus the free ones, times the token price. We ran it on ten series from our reviews, using the October 8, 2026 episode counts. The last column turns tokens into months of the 100-token allowance, rounded up.
| Series | Type | Episodes | Paid episodes x price | Tokens to finish | Months of allowance |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Not Under My Roof | Standard | 5 | 3 x 12 | 36 | 1 |
| Mona's Worst Enemy | Standard | 15 | 13 x 12 | 156 | 2 |
| YES MA'AM | Standard | 20 | 18 x 12 | 216 | 3 |
| My bestie betrayed me | Standard | 34 | 32 x 12 | 384 | 4 |
| Private Lessons | Creator | 5 | 3 x 30 | 90 | 1 |
| Good Boy For Stepmom | Spicy | 5 | 3 x 30 | 90 | 1 |
| Stepsister's Dirty Deal | Spicy | 7 | 5 x 30 | 150 | 2 |
| Accident with my Stepmom | Spicy | 10 | 8 x 30 | 240 | 3 |
| Professor Mia | Spicy creator | 5 | 3 x 50 | 150 | 2 |
| Blackout At My Yacht Party | Spicy creator | 10 | 8 x 50 | 400 | 4 |
Read it row by row. A five-episode standard series is 36 tokens, a little over a third of one allowance, so a month covers two of them (72 tokens) with 28 left. A five-episode creator series is 90 tokens and nearly fills a month on its own. Spicy series run from 90 to 400 tokens depending on length and shelf, and Blackout At My Yacht Party, with eight paid episodes at 50 tokens each, reaches 400, which is four months of the allowance. Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right, with three free episodes and 12 paid ones, comes to 144.
The practical unit is the series, not the shelf: pick the next title on your list, find its row, and you know how many months of allowance it asks for.
Which plan fits one series, and which fits ten?
Think of the monthly plan as a day pass, the 3-month plan as a short season ticket and the 12-month plan as a membership, then pick by the months of allowance your watchlist needs. The plan prices make the break-even points easy to read:
- One standard series, or two: the monthly plan. At $9.99 for the first month it is the smallest payment on the page, and one allowance covers two five-episode standard series or a single creator series.
- Two or three months of watching: the 3-month plan. Its $26.97 is $2.99 more than two monthly payments ($23.98), but it covers a third month, which would take the monthly route to $37.97.
- Four months or more: the 12-month plan. Its $47.88 undercuts four monthly payments ($51.96) and two 3-month terms ($53.94), and it spans a full year of allowances. Ten standard series come to 360 tokens, which is four months of allowance, so a long watchlist lands here.
The longer plans trade a bigger first payment for a lower monthly rate. Cash on day one is $9.99, $26.97 or $47.88, and the refund window described below starts at each payment.
There is also a yardstick that ignores timing: divide a plan's price by its 100 tokens. That gives about 14 cents a token on the monthly plan, 9 on the 3-month plan and 4 on the 12-month plan, if you spend the whole allowance in a month. At those rates a 36-token series uses about $5.04, $3.24 or $1.44 of the plan price, and a 90-token creator series about $12.59, $8.09 or $3.59. That is your plan price spread over its allowance, not a price Candy.ai publishes, and tokens you leave unspent raise the real cost of the episodes you do watch. Whether a story justifies the cost is a matter of taste, and our review gives our verdict.
Is there a promo code or discount code for Candy AI Shorts?
There is no official promo code or discount code. The reductions Candy.ai itself prints are the 70% OFF and 35% OFF labels on the 12-month and 3-month cards, measured against the struck-through $13.99, and the 29% OFF on the first month of the monthly plan. The Terms of Service add that the company may offer promotions to selected users at its own discretion, such as bonus tokens returned as a percentage of tokens spent above a minimum. That is a decision about particular accounts, not a code anyone can publish. The Get App prompt on candy.ai also offers notifications about sales and discounts, among other things.
A code you find elsewhere has no source in anything Candy.ai publishes, and we publish none.
How do refunds, canceling and the card statement work?
Canceling. You can cancel a Candy.ai Premium subscription from your account: Settings, then Unsubscribe, the path the Terms of Service name. After you cancel, Premium keeps running through the term you already paid, and no new charge follows. A plan change, up or down, starts with the next billing cycle, and when paid access ends the account returns to the free version.
Refunds. Section 10.4 of the Terms (revised September 22, 2026) sets narrow rules:
- Outside the EU and UK, a request has to come within 24 hours of the payment, and it is refused if you used more than 20 tokens, however early you ask.
- Only card payments qualify (the Terms also list Pay by Bank and local methods), and a technical issue on the user's side rules a refund out.
- In the EU and UK, you can withdraw from the first purchase within 14 days of the confirmation email. The refund covers what you paid minus a prorated share for the service you used, and renewals are not covered.
The 20-token line in practice: one standard episode (12 tokens) leaves you under it, a second (24) crosses it, and a single creator episode (30) crosses it alone. To keep a refund possible, stay at or under 20 tokens in total, which in episodes means one standard unlock. For a refund request, start with Candy.ai support: the Contact Us link sits in its menu.
The statement. On a bank statement the charge shows as EverAI, according to the plan page. That is the name of the company that runs Candy.ai, not the Candy brand itself. Unsure about a charge? The Complaint Policy (revised February 14, 2025) asks customers to contact support first, acknowledges a complaint within 24 hours and caps the whole resolution at 7 calendar days. Additional local taxes may apply on top of the plan prices.
